Lucie Marsh

Therapy Assistant

I’m Lucie, and I’m a Therapy Assistant at Oak Therapies. My role is all about lending a hand—whether that’s setting up equipment, supporting sessions, or being a steady presence for children who need an extra bit of reassurance. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is delivering interventions directly with children and building strong, trusting relationships that help them feel safe and understood.

Before this, I worked in everything from retail management to running my own clothing business. Alongside that, I’ve been a teaching assistant and mum of four, which means life is never boring! Eventually, I retrained with an NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning, and that path brought me here.

I love seeing the difference therapy makes for children and families. Being able to connect with children on a personal level and watch their confidence grow is what makes my job so meaningful. The sensory-focused approach—and of course, the animals—make every day both fun and fulfilling.
