‘Life skills’ is a broad term, used by many services and can be difficult to pin down.

Any skill that is useful in your life can be considered a life skill. At Oak Therapies we are always exploring and learning new skills that can be transferable to everyday life, such as caring for the animals looking after the land, building and creating.

Problem solving unexpected tasks can be difficult for individuals. Through our work of exploring animals and nature, we find new ways to solve and manage these unexpected situations. It’s about developing resilience and experiencing the rewards for achieving those simple skills you wouldn’t have done previously.
