Hi, I’m Leighanne—mum of three teenagers, taxi driver in disguise, and lover of pyjamas and bubbly when I get a moment to myself! Life has been a journey, especially raising two children with additional needs, and it was the support of OTs that inspired me to follow this path myself.

Since qualifying, I’ve worked in our therapeutic centre and in SEN schools, constantly topping up my skills with new courses on everything from sensory integration to attachment theory. For me, the real joy comes when a child notices their own progress and feels proud of what they can now do. That spark in their eyes makes every challenge worthwhile.

At Oak Therapies, I’ve found a community of like-minded professionals who believe in teamwork and relationships as the foundation of therapy. Together, we help families not just survive but begin to thrive—and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
