The Story of Oak Therapies
Oak Therapies began in 2020, sparked by the vision of our director, Caroline Parfitt. She dreamed of a nurturing space where people could access outdoor therapies that feel natural, safe, and supportive.
What started with one therapist has blossomed into a whole team who share the same passion: harnessing the power of nature to support wellbeing.
Even the name Oak Therapies has roots—quite literally—in the oak tree that stands at Caroline’s home, symbolising resilience, strength, and growth.
Our services range from Occupational Therapy and Equine Therapy to Counselling, Psychotherapy, Art Therapy, and Eco-Sensory Therapy. We also offer alternative provision for those who find mainstream school a tough fit.
Whatever your path, we work from an attachment-based model—understanding how our earliest relationships shape us. At the heart of it all is one simple truth: we’re people helping people, and we care deeply about your journey.
